Project...

Recent projects have included quite a bit of Yaskawa MP940 motion control work.  These projects have been for the wound magnetics, fastner and medical industries.  One of these is a new transformer winding model.  This project included an HMI for operator control and setup.  Parameters are entered and stored for various types of transformer coils.  The “recipes” or programs are called up and loaded into the Yaskawa MP940 controller for servo controlled winding operations.  The touch screen interface simplifies the job of the operator and makes the unit much more cost effective to operate, and easier to setup than the system it replaces.  In addition it can scale up to accommodate other models this 50 year old machine manufacturer supplies.  The cost savings realized are in excess of $6000 per machine and will help make this company more competitive in their marketplace.

Project...

Provided key services in the design and roll-out of complete line of electrical manufacturing systems.  responsible for planning, development and lifecycle management for the software and electronics systems employed in these systems.  This three year project has fulfilled expectations both in cost and in performance.

Project...

This project involved the architecture, design and implementation of systems that provide user interfacing and process control.  The embedded systems utilized a real-time multithreaded machine operating system controlling multi-axis DSP servo motor assemblies.   This system enabled the re-programmability of the axes and IO for flexible automation of electrical parts manufacturing.

Project...

The project required method of controlling process used to spool optical glass fiber.  We analyzed and developed commercial controls and interface for glass fiber optic production system.  This systems guides operator through delicate tasks involving small diameter fiber-optic cable.  The systems makes use of Windows NT/2000 based GUI for process control.  This multithreaded PC host software supplies user interface and peripheral tasks under 32 bit Windows.  The operation and process control data stored in relational database for analysis.  The application acts as a COM server to allow access to production data in near real-time.  This solution has decreased change over time and increased production due to well designed access levels and simplified operation.
