Problem:  In our development of motion control systems we found the marketplace lacking in clear-cut, affordable core components.  There are cheap, low end systems out there, not flexible or reliable.  There are high end "solutions" out there if you don't mind embedding  5 figures worth of operating software and hardware.

The Solution:  We developed our own system.  Our goals were quality, reliability and the flexibility to be able to extend the system in ways we haven't thought of yet.   PC104 expansion gives us the flexibility to handle anything that may be thrown at us in the future. We designed into our foundation (carrier board ), the functionality to glue a system together.  We added a set of very high quality components from well-known and respected vendors.  This combination has proven to be the solution to many control systems problems, and may solve yours as well.

Add servo amplifiers and motors, wire components and go! The system is designed to be a jumping off point for customizable motion control applications. The operating software is designed to be extensible. The operating software is field upgradeable. The software components are held in Flash memory. The operating software can be upgraded via standard PC with the provided software. The DSP motion control systems can accommodate most amplifier/motor combinations.

Wasatch Technology’s WCB0031 main board two-axis carrier system. 
  • 24 general purpose optically isolated I/O points - 12, 24 VDC sinking isolated inputs with Ten (sinking) isolated 24VDC solid state outputs, 510ma, 12.5 watts max current.
  • Two dry contact 2 amp relay outputs.
  • Two channel differential encoder inputs for 2 axes with Single ended signal outputs for 2 axes.
